Questions
The things people ask first.
What do I need?
An Android phone (Android 10 or later), a Mac (Apple silicon or Intel) and a Claude plan. Fiskar for Mac installs everything else. A free GitHub account keeps your apps.
Is there a Windows version?
It's being built: the same setup app with buttons, for Windows 11. Join the waitlist and we'll tell you when it's ready.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You describe what you want and point at what's wrong. If you do code, every file and every change is there to read, and the project is a normal Android Studio project.
What kind of apps can it build?
Real native Android apps in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose: shops, bookings, habits, tools, small social apps. They're yours, in your GitHub, and you can publish them like any other app.
Does my Mac have to stay on?
Yes, while Claude works. Fiskar for Mac keeps it awake while it's plugged in. If the Mac sleeps, your messages wait on the phone and go when it's back.
Do I have to approve every change?
No. Safe actions are approved on your Mac. Switch on Auto-accept edits and changes to the app's own files go through too; commands and installs still ask.
Can I try it before setting up my Mac?
Yes. The app starts in Demo mode with a sample bakery app, so you can try every tab first.
Is it made by Anthropic?
No. Fiskar is an independent app that drives Claude Code. Claude and Claude Code are Anthropic's.
